Life at BlueRock
24/7
Supervised Care
BlueRock provides a safe, structured, and supportive environment for teens to build life skills.
At BlueRock, growth shows up in everyday moments: class wins, shared meals, trail walks, and honest conversations. On our serene 25-acre campus in the Blue Ridge Mountains, students reset, acquire new skills, and rebuild confidence within a structured, caring community.
Our Campus
Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains just outside of Asheville, BlueRock’s beautiful, 25-acre campus provides an ideal backdrop for our teen mental health program. With plenty of space for outdoor and experiential programming, as well as places for quiet reflection, we encourage students to spend time in nature and enjoy the beauty of Western North Carolina.
Our campus features a variety of buildings and facilities including student dorms, a dining hall, school classrooms, therapists’ and nurse’s offices, an open-air gymnasium with weight room, hiking trails, sports fields, a pool, and fishing ponds.
Our dorms are designed to be welcoming spaces with group common areas that feel warm and inviting. Students live together in a dormitory featuring a mix of single- and double-occupancy bedrooms.
Student Daily Life
Student life on our scenic campus blends structured learning and a supportive community in a setting designed for growth and healing. To keep our students focused and accountable, days at BlueRock are highly organized, supervised, consistent, and scheduled.
Daily routines emphasize skill-building (emotion regulation, communication, decision-making), healthy habits, and guided practice in real-world settings.
At the same time, we build in opportunities for individualized therapy and other care tailored for each student’s specific needs and progression. Outdoor adventure and experiential learning are also woven into each week’s schedule so students can challenge themselves, collaborate, and apply therapeutic skills in new ways.
